JUNE 1997 NEW GENERATION the Journal of the NCT
An excellent little handbook on sleep deprivation. Invaluable for new mums or 'mums at the end of their tether'. This compact, informative book doesn't blind you with science and you do not have to wade through pages and pages. It is brief and to the point and takes you step by step through solving various sleep problems.
The author has gathered relevant information, which should provide you with what you need to know. As she says in her introduction, she has, 'read and summarised concisely and clearly the now accepted and effective sleep-training principles promoted in leading hospitals and sleep clinics'. It is tried and tested and it works. I found it a little off-putting to go through the numerous questions before beginning, but on the whole, this booklet offers good advice, contact addresses and further reading lists.
